This was a cat I saw on the side of the street inside a plastic bag, left alone. She would have gotten ran over if left unattended for even a few more minutes especially with how her eyes were at the time. We were able to pick her up and take her home to nurse her seeing as how she was only a few weeks old. So we took her home and bought a few things then started bottle feeding her. We then took her to the vet to get some checkups and her eyes cleaned up.
We never got to name her because unfortunately, she passed away about 2 weeks after we had rescued her. We're not aware of how exactly she died but we have discussed the possible causes.
She was the first cat I ever rescued and unfortunate as her death may have been, I will still continue helping strays, taking lesson from past experiences to better nurse and shelter them.
This was her the day after we had rescued her.
Here's a video of her bottle-feeding
Despite what happened, again, as I mentioned, I will still continue to help these strays as much as I can alongside any of my friends and family that want to help out. We're not the only ones doing rescues like these though.
There's a dog shelter ran by an organization in the local, "BARK", and they have their own sanctuary where all the dogs are sheltered and taken care of.
I hope to achieve this level of support towards helping stray dogs and cats, even exceed it. Building a foundation that revolves around basic love and care for them. Not only does it reduce on-road caused accidents, but it also saves the animals and people's lives.
For now, as I can't do as much as BARK is doing, we can extend our help and reach them, BARK, to help in ways that we can for these animals.
