Alexander Castillo - Royal Christian School Student
My transfer to RCS was a long-needed transition I need to take in and move to. The pandemic proved to have its impact on everyone, to students, mannerisms toward learning. I had just gotten back into school face-to-face classes in late 2022 as per national order. I thought I'd be able to handle the pressure of classes again but I was wrong. The scheduling was too hectic, the amount of workload put on us students, I was exhausted and really wanted a change or even just a break.
I had just finished the first quarter of the school year before having decided to move to another school. When we sought for the applications and gave our reasons, RCS was really helpful and accommodating to me. I was able to relax for a bit as the workload was reflective of the learning pace, "paces", wherein students could learn at their own capabilities and speed without the pressure of others' works around you. It wasn't all bad either with a weekly gathering assembled to and for all the students, so socially, it was also in-balance.
The staff, the teachers, they've all been very nice and welcoming, can't really say more. The students are all but the same as well, even more enthusiastic that a new schoolmate was joining them.
